DogTrek -Days Out For Dogs

DogTrek offers full day adventures for dogs across North and East London. Led by a trained and trusted guide, each outing includes varied routes, plenty of play, and a focus on fun, enriching experiences.

What we do

Your dog will join our small group for proper outdoor adventures. Great exercise, good company, and they'll come home ready to relax.
That’s what we do at DogTrek. Enriching, stress-free days designed to support your dog’s happiness and well being.

Sometimes noisy, high-energy daycare can be a bit overwhelming. DogTrek offers calm, structured pack walks with up to four other familiar, friendly dogs. We explore a different route each day through the open green spaces of North and East London.

Walks run Tuesday to Friday, with morning pick-up and late afternoon drop-off included across Islington, Stoke Newington, Hackney, and Walthamstow. Your dog travels safely in an air-conditioned vehicle, ensuring comfort on the journey. We take long breaks to sniff, play, and simply hang out, giving your dog time to decompress and enjoy the day.

Your dog is in safe hands. Your DogTrek guide, Pete, is trained in dog welfare and canine first aid, fully insured, enhanced DBS checked, and we use GPS trackers so every dog’s location is monitored throughout the day.

DogTrek is more than just a walk - it’s freedom, friendship, and the balance your dog deserves.

About us

Hi, I’m Peter Hills, the founder of DogTrek. I’ve been a devoted dog owner for over 10 years, and in 2025 I turned my love for dogs into a full-time job by launching DogTrek. Alongside me on all our walks is Ned, my miniature schnauzer. Ned loves meeting new dogs and exploring open spaces. His favourite spots include Hackney Marshes, Wanstead Park, Epping Forest, Lea Valley, and on rainy days, Victoria Park, where it’s less muddy. He can’t wait to meet your dog too!

Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I’m trained in pet first aid for professionals and currently studying for an OFQUAL-approved Level 2 Award in Canine Care & Welfare. I also hold a full, clean UK driving licence, have full insurance, and am enhanced DBS checked.

For your peace of mind, every dog wears a GPS tracker - so even in the unlikely event they wander too far, I can see exactly where they are. I regularly review group dynamics and safety protocols to make sure every walk is safe, fun, and well-suited to your dog’s personality. If I’m collecting your dog from home, I also take extra care to respect and secure your property.

Before your dog joins the group, I always arrange an initial meet-up session followed by a test walk to make sure they’re a good fit and will be happy with the rest of the gang.

I’d love to meet you and your dog soon!

Pete (& Ned)

About you

Maybe you work from home and struggle to fit in a proper walk, or perhaps getting out for long adventures isn’t so easy anymore. That’s where we can help.

With DogTrek, your dog isn’t just taken for a quick stroll around the neighborhood.  They get to enjoy a full day exploring beautiful open spaces like Hackney Marshes, Wanstead Park, and Epping Forest. Your dog can run, play, and socialise safely in a small group, which means they’re getting both physical exercise and mental stimulation.

To keep every dog safe and happy, your dog should know basic commands and respond reliably to recall. Aggressive or reactive dogs aren’t suitable, and puppies or young dogs who can’t yet manage a 5km walk won’t be able to join the group. Your dog should also be used to riding in a vehicle.  It’s important that all dogs are well socialised to enjoy the experience together.

We work with dogs in the following areas:

N1 Islington; N5 Highbury; N16 Stoke Newington; E2 Bethnal Green, Shoreditch and Haggerston; E3 Bow; E5 Clapton; E8 Dalston, Hackney Central, London Fields; E9 Hackney, Victoria Park; E10 Hackney Marshes, Leyton; E17 Walthamstow.

If your postcode isn't on the list but your near please give me a try - I might still be able to help.
