Small Group Dog Walks for Calm and Happy Pets
We believe that quality always comes before quantity. By keeping our pack sizes strictly limited, we ensure every single dog gets the individual attention, mental stimulation, and care they deserve. A smaller group naturally creates a calmer environment. This allows your dog to socialize safely, build confidence at their own pace, and return home completely happy and relaxed.
GPS Tracked and Canine First Aid Trained
Your dog's safety is our absolute priority. We are fully insured, DBS checked, and trained in canine first aid. For extra reassurance while you are at work or away, all our walks are GPS tracked.
Exploring Hackney Marshes, Lea Valley, Wanstead Park and other Local Green Spaces
East London is full of fantastic green spaces, and we make the most of them. Our daily routes variously take us to Hackney Marshes, Wanstead Park, the Lea Valley, Victoria Park, and other beautiful spots around Hackney and East London. We vary our walking routes to keep the sights and smells exciting and engaging for the group.

About us
Hi, I’m Peter Hills. I’ve been a devoted dog owner for over 10 years, and in 2025 I turned my love for dogs into a full-time job by launching DogTrek. Alongside me on all our walks is Ned, my miniature schnauzer. Ned loves meeting new dogs and exploring open spaces. His favourite spots include Hackney Marshes, Wanstead Park, the Lea Valley, and Victoria Park. He can’t wait to meet your dog too!
Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I’m trained in pet first aid for professionals and currently studying for an OFQUAL-approved Award in Canine Care & Welfare. I also hold a full, clean UK driving licence, have full insurance, and I'm enhanced DBS checked so you can trust me with your dog and your keys if you need to.
For your peace of mind, every dog wears a Tractive GPS tracker so even in the unlikely event they wander too far, I can see exactly where they are. I regularly review group dynamics and safety protocols to make sure every walk is safe, fun, and well-suited to your dog’s personality. If I’m collecting your dog from home, I also take extra care to respect and secure your property.
Before your dog joins the group, I arrange an initial meet-up session and test walk to make sure they’re a good fit and will be happy with the rest of the group.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and your dog.

About you
Maybe you work from home and struggle to fit in a proper walk, or perhaps getting out for big walks isn’t so easy anymore. That’s where I can help.
With DogTrek, your dog isn’t just taken for a quick stroll around the neighborhood. They get to proper walk exploring beautiful open spaces like Hackney Marshes, Wanstead Park, and the Lea Valley. Your dog can run, play, and socialise safely in a small group, which means they’re getting both physical exercise and mental stimulation. This article explains more about it.
To keep every dog safe and happy, your dog should know basic commands and respond reliably to recall. Aggressive or reactive dogs aren’t suitable, and puppies or young dogs who can’t yet manage a one hour walk won’t be able to join the group. Your dog should also be used to riding in a vehicle. It’s important that all dogs are well socialised to enjoy the experience together.
We work with dogs in the following areas:
N16 Stoke Newington; E2 Bethnal Green, Shoreditch and Haggerston; E3 Bow; E5 Clapton; E8 Dalston, Hackney Central, London Fields; E9 Hackney, Victoria Park; E10 Hackney Marshes, Leyton
If your postcode isn't on the list but your near please give me a try - I might still be able to help.

Testimonials
Stephen, in Hackney
Great dog walker. I highly recommend Pete for all size and aged dogs!!
Juliette, in Hackney
Dogtrek has been so wonderful for our dog, Rocky. He absolutely loves going on long walks with Pete and gets very excited when it’s time to go on a new adventure with his dog pals. Pete is great with communications, is trustworthy, always reliable, punctual and arrives exactly on time. He also sends us updates with photos of their excursions, so we can see what our dog has been up to. Pete always takes great care of Rocky, looking out for potential hazards during their walks (such as the heatwaves, for example) and acts accordingly. I would highly recommend Dogtrek’s services to other dog owners looking to keep their pooches happy! It’s been perfect for our needs.
